DIRECTIONS: Classes and training are held at 3343 E. Vista Way; between Gopher Canyon and 76 – the second left hand driveway south of 76. Look for the big red, white and blue Kindred Spirits sign on the east side of E. Vista Way right next to the driveway.

Beyond Basic Obedience Classes
Continuing Skills Drop-In Class: This class continues the skills taught in the basic obedience class plus adds a few new commands. Sorry, this class is open ONLY to Kindred Spirits class graduates and Love on a Leash therapy dogs. This is a drop in class; no reservations needed.
Thurs 6:30 pm $5 per session, pay as you attend.
Drop in Fun Agility: The class is open to Kindred Spirits class graduates ONLY. Dogs must have good basic skills, including a good come. This is a drop in class,
Sat 9 am to 10 am $5 a session, No advance sign up, come when you want.
Canine Good Citizen Class: To attend this class, the dog MUST have satisfactorily completed a basic obedience class. Graduation is the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test and certification. One hour per week for six weeks, $50. This class is only offered four times a year.

Oct 2 thru Nov 6
Intermediate Class: Continue the basic skills you’ve already learned plus learn new skills, including off leash control. Dogs must have completed a KSCEC basic obedience course. $50 for a 6 week course. This class is only offered four times a year.
Sat 1 pm Oct 11 thru Nov 15
Trick Training Classes: Trick training is fun for you and fun for your dog. It helps perfect basic commands by making training fun. Basic, intermediate and advanced tricks are taught. This class is open to all Kindred Spirits basic class graduates and all therapy dogs. Six week course, one hour per week, $50. This class is only offered twice a year.
Sat 1 pm Aug 16 thru Sept 27
Therapy Dog Classes: This class helps prepare dogs and their owners for therapy dog certification. Dogs are introduced to visit skills and owners are taught how to handle their dogs during visits. Dogs MUST have completed a basic obedience class prior to beginning this class. Dogs must be at least 1 year old. No aggression to dogs or people is allowed. One hour per week for six weeks, $50. This class is offered three times per year.
Thurs 7:30 pm Aug 14 thru Sept 18
Carting Introduction: Introduction to the skills needed in basic carting, and to wagons of different types. Dogs who are successful may be invited to join Kindred Spirits in local holiday parades. Dogs must have excellent basic obedience skills, including stand stay, and be at least eight months old. Six week course, one hour per week, $50. Check with the trainers for upcoming classes.

Service Dog Training: Kindred Spirits Canine Education Center (a 501(c) 3 organization) offers service dog training on a one on one basis. Each dog and owner will be screened for suitability for both service dog work and our program. For more information, call 760-630-4824 or email lizpalika@cox.net. Responsible Dog Ownership Day
Fun for the family! Sat Oct 4: Noon to 3pm
Kindred Spirits is celebrating great dogs and great dog owners. We’ll be having a Canine Good Citizen test and our agility course will be open for play.
Can your dog do tricks? Come compete in our trick contest! Lots of prizes. We’ll have dog food vendors with samples and Liz’s books will be for sale.
