Fun classes for you and your dog!

Once your dog has completed the basic obedienece classes and maybe even the intermediate training classes, what can you do with your dog to have fun together? Plenty! Kindred Spirits offers these classes for you and your family to enjoy:

Agility Drop In Play Time: The play timeis open to Kindred Spirits class graduates ONLY. Dogs must have good basic skills, including a good come. This is a drop-in play session. No advance sign up, come when you want.
$5 a session.

Sat 9 am to 10 am

Thurs 6 pm to 7 pm

Trick Training Classes: Trick training is fun for you and fun for your dog. It helps perfect basic commands by making training fun. Basic, intermediate and advanced tricks are taught. This class is open to all Kindred Spirits basic class graduates and all therapy dogs. Four week course, one hour per week, $50.

Sat 12:30 pm      July 24 thru Aug 21 (no class Aug 7th)

Trick Training Advanced: For graduates of the basic trick training course. More trick theory, more about putting tricks together in a routine, and more advanced tricks. 4 weeks, one hour per week, $50.

Scent and Nose Play and Training: Your dog knows how to use his nose; it’s one of his most important senses. So let’s have fun with it! Open to KS basic class graduates ONLY.

Sat 8:30 am 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month This is a drop in class; $5 per session

Rally Obedience: This is a new sport that makes learning and practicing obedience skills a lot of fun. Dogs must have completed a KS basic obedience class.

This class is held on the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm for one hour.
$5 per session.

Freestyle ‘dancing with your dog:” If you like music, like dancing, and enjoy doing something fun with your dog – this is it! Dogs must have completed a Kindred Spirits basic obedience class.

This class is held on the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm for one hour. $5 per session.

Carting: Teach your dog how to pull a cart and wagon. Let him help you around the yard, bring in the groceries, or for therapy dogs, pull a wagon in next year’s Christmas parade. Dogs of any size can participate – from Pomeranians to Saint Bernards.

This class is held on the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm for one hour.
$5 per session.

Flyball: This is great fun for all dogs who love tennis balls! It’s also good training and wonderful exercise. Open to KS basic class graduates.

This class is held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm for one hour.
$5 per session.

Therapy Dog Classes: This class helps prepare dogs and their owners for therapy dog certification. Dogs are introduced to visit skills and owners are taught how to handle their dogs during visits. Dogs MUST have completed a basic obedience class prior to beginning this class. No aggression to dogs or people is allowed. One hour per week for five weeks, $60.

We do not hold classes on the major holidays. This summer there will be no classes on July 3rd or 5th, or Sept 4th or 6th.
